I spent the evening watching the election online. MSNBC. CNN. CBS. I wanted to see things as they were happening to remember everything I was feeling. I want to create memories to tell my children about. I wanted to be able to describe what emotions I felt at that particular moment when it became obvious that Obama would be our next president.
I started to take screenshots of the news sites when they declared him our president. My hands shook. I felt chills over take my body. I felt like crying, but the tears never came.
I wanted to post, but I felt the need to wait…
I watched his victory speech. I was touched with a sense of pride. He did it. He did it. He did it.
At the end of the speech, when the families united on stage, you see the mixtures of heritage, of skin color and it’s the perfect representation of what this country is supposed to be about.
And tonight, I will pray that he will be kept safe to see us through a time when we need him the most…

It’s called ONE LOVE, and Bob Marley, JFK, and MLK have been speaking of it forever. Amen to the world!!!!
