New Readers Guide

I am a brown girl that craves desperately to be in Atlanta, Ga. I was romanced out of the city by a former girlfriend who pretended to be someone she was not. When her true colors showed, I knew I needed to leave, but a lost wallet delayed me.

I will be returning to SC to live with a family who doesn’t accept my sexuality. Well, I can’t say all of them don’t. Specifically, my mother and my grandmother. My life is going to be shot to hell, but that will be ok. For now. After all, I need to stay focused, right? I’ll be back in Atlanta before the weather gets warm. I write about all of the characters that make my life interesting and worth living. Think of them as characters in a live novel…

You will hear about:

• The Baby. My former love interest. She’s 8 years my junior with a military career and an extreme personality. She had me move to Va to be with her and decided less than 2 weeks later that she wasn’t sure she wanted to be with me. It didn’t really matter because I’d decided after a week that I didn’t want to be with her.
• MED. A former coworker and my former host. She took me and PS in when we had to leave my apartment.
• PS. An Atlanta transplant from MS who got kicked out from her brother’s place and ended up staying with me. She uses too much toilet tissue. It was the focus of a few blogs
• The Mermaid. The only person that knows me in real life and comments on my blog.
• MH. Best friend to PS. I got drunk and accidentally kissed her. We don’t talk about it.
• JP. A friend of 4 years and current caretaker of my dog. She’s usually injured or sick.
• PK. My ex girlfriend’s new husband. They got married (while we were together) for the military benefits. He’s flaming!
• HBB. The girlfriend just before the Baby. She got married less than three months after we broke up.
• Jay. The girlfriend before HBB. We’ve managed to maintain a friendship even though she was at one point the love of my life.
• Green. A former roomie. Former date to BR.
• SS. A former roomie from Richmond, VA. I met the Baby because of her.
• BR. One of HBB’s best friends. I met and dated her first. She and Green went out once.
• Jersey. A former romantic interest from NJ. Read about what happened.
• Sweet Hill or SH. I love her! She’s in Richmond, VA. I sent her a message on myspace for help to get to know the city, but when the Baby started tripping, it turned into something more.
• Head. We hung out a few times…
• Buck. Another dating disaster…
• MW. SH’s closest male cousin. He’s married, but separated. He has 2 little girls, but he’s only the biological father of one.
• LA. MW’s sister.
• EC. Another cousin to SH.
• P. One of MW’s freaks. She’s really a sweet girl, but she talks a lot.
